This past weekend I went to the National Gallery in Washington D.C. It would be so easy to spend the whole day in just one exhibit. I saw some of impressionist masters like Claude Monet and Mary Cassatt. And some of the more modern artists in the East wing including Salvador Dali, Frank Stella, and Alexander Caulder. There is so much inspiration to be found around each corner, it's overwhelming to say the least. But I found that watching the people in the exhibits sparked some inspiration as well. From the couple in front of the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit oblivious to everything around them to the father and daughter resting amidst Georges Seurat scenes, it's interesting to see how people react to the art around them.
This is the place where I post current works, upcoming shows, inspirations, and general thoughts about art.
